The museum continues its display of 100 years of wedding dresses from Flora Heron’s 1883 white muslin dress to Mary Jo Vibbert’s 1984 taffeta designer gown.  The addition of a 1920’s gown and veil has enhanced the display.  The store exhibit features the villages of North Star and Elwell displaying many pictures of original buildings, the Boyd general store and several old school pictures of students.  The log cabin has several of the oldest wedding dresses plus items from the 1880 homestead of Benjamin VanDeventer.  The barn has newly accessed items from the Larry Barnes estate.

The museum has an intern this summer, David O’Rourke, who has assisted with the entering of accessions in the computer software program.  We are very grateful for his help.  The museum is open Wednesdays from 1-4:00 p.m. through October 30 and on special occasions.
