The Wright House Restoration project has made significant progress over the summer, thanks to dedicated volunteers and new partnerships. The historic home in Alma is undergoing extensive renovations aimed at preserving its legacy and ensuring its role as a vital community landmark for years to come.
One of the most visible changes to the Wright House is the installation of a new roof. The completion of this phase marks a crucial step in securing the structure which had been at risk of damage due to exposure to the elements.
Efforts are now focusing on securing the building’s windows, with Advanced Glass making a significant contribution by donating all the necessary materials to replace the damaged and broken glass throughout the home. Freed Construction will then come in to seal any remaining openings in the structure. Temporary front doors will be installed, allowing time for the original doors to be refinished by a volunteer.
