The Gratiot County Genealogy Library is pleased to announce the acquisition of two new computers  through a generous grant from the Gratiot County Community Foundation.

As genealogical research evolves from paper records to digital ones, it has become increasingly important that the library provide researchers with the tools they need.  The two new computers are dedicated to public use and provide access both to local records that are held in digital form by the library and links to online resources.  Local records include country school records and birth, death, and marriage records.  Most importantly, the computers will provide a link to the library’s online index.  Researchers can now take the computers right to the stacks to begin finding their materials.
